HB100 Microwave Doppler Radar Wireless Motion Sensor Module

The HB100 Miniature Microwave Motion Sensor is a module that uses X-Band Bi-Static Doppler technology to detect motion. It consists of a Dielectric Resonator Oscillator (DRO) and a pair of Microstrip patch antennas, which make it suitable for motion detection equipment.

Doppler Principle

If the radio waves encounter a stationary object, then the frequency of the reflected waves will be equal to the frequency of the transmitted waves. If the object moves towards the source, then the reflected waves will be compressed, which will increase their frequency. On the other hand, if the object moves away from the source, then the reflected waves will be stretched, which will decrease their frequency.
