MQ-2 Flammable Gas and Smoke Sensor
The MQ2 Flammable Gas and Smoke Sensor can detect gas leaks (in homes and industries) of various kinds, such as LPG, i-butane, methane, alcohol, hydrogen, and smoke. It has a fast response time that allows for quick measurements. The sensitivity of the sensor can be adjusted by the potentiometer.
The MQ2 gas sensor can measure gas concentrations from 200 to 10000ppm. It is very sensitive to propane, hydrogen, methane, and LPG.
The MQ series of gas sensors have a small heater and an electro-chemical sensor inside. They can detect a range of gases at room temperature indoors.
The MQ2 gas sensor uses SnO2 as the sensitive material, which has lower conductivity in clean air. When the target gas is present, the conductivity of the sensor increases with the gas concentration. The MQ2 sensor can be used to detect different combustible gases, especially methane. It is low-cost and suitable for various applications. This sensor can be used to make a wireless gas leak detector for home security systems.

MQ-5 Methane LPG Liquid Propane Gas Sensor Module
MQ-5 Methane LPG Liquid Propane Gas Sensor Module
Introducing our MQ-5 Methane LPG Liquid Propane Gas Sensor Module, an essential device for detecting gas leaks in both consumer and industrial settings. This sensor module is designed to sense LPG, natural gas, and coal gas, offering reliable performance while excluding responses to alcohol, cooking fumes, or cigarette smoke.
Utilizing SnO2 as its sensitive material, the MQ-5 sensor demonstrates low conductivity in clean air. However, in the presence of combustible gas, its conductivity increases proportionally with the gas concentration. This change in conductivity is converted into an output signal by a simple electric circuit, providing accurate indications of gas concentration.
The MQ-5 sensor exhibits high sensitivity to methane, propane, and butane, making it particularly effective in detecting methane. With an adjustable sensitivity potentiometer, you can fine-tune the sensor to suit your specific application needs.
