MAX232 Dual Driver/Receiver IC DIP
The MAX232E belongs to a family of transceivers that can operate with a single +5V supply and have high ±15kV ESD HBM protection. They can communicate using RS-232 and V.28 protocols. The Selector Guide shows the different features of each device in this family. The drivers and receivers of all these devices comply with the EIA/TIA232E and CCITT V.28 standards and can support data rates up to 120kbps when loaded. The MAX232E is available in 16-pin TSSOP, narrow SO, wide SO, and DIP packages.
