MAX6675 Module with K Type Thermocouple Sensor
This module utilizes the Maxim MAX6675 IC to convert the input from a K-Type thermocouple sensor into a digital serial output, compatible with microcontrollers via SPI. It offers temperature measurements ranging from 0°C to 1024°C with 12-bit resolution and 0.25°C accuracy. The sensor included with the module can withstand temperatures up to 450°C.
For easy integration, the module features screw terminals for connecting the thermocouple’s spade connectors and a 5-pin 0.1″ header for microcontroller interfacing, such as with an Arduino board.
The included thermocouple sensor has a 4.5mm diameter with a 6mm threaded mounting bolt. The sensor’s cable and spade connectors are approximately 100cm in length, providing flexibility in placement.
Features of MAX6675 Module with K Type Thermocouple Sensor: –
This device has an internal circuit that compensates for the cold junction of the thermocouple.
It can convert the temperature signal into a 12-bit digital format.
It also has a built-in feature that detects if the thermocouple is broken.
It uses a K-type temperature probe and outputs the temperature through a simple SPI serial interface.
It has high impedance differential inputs and can withstand 2000V of ESD signal.
