This tube is made of stainless steel and coated with TwinClad XT, a low-friction Electroless Nickel composite coating. TwinClad XT is often used in injection molding for its release properties. This coating reduces clogging in the hotend zone where the filament melts. It is also hard and resistant to corrosion.
