This pulley is made of aluminum and has 20 teeth for 6mm wide GT2 timing belts. It is compatible with the GT2 pulley-belt sets that we sell in our store. It has a 5mm bore and works as an idler for 20T GT2 driving timing belt pulleys.
Some DIY 3D printer makers use idlers with 3D printed wheels, but these can reduce print quality and cause vibrations because the idler’s outer diameter is not aligned with the axis of rotation. Others use double bearings with washers that clamp the belt from both sides, but this creates friction between the belt and the washers. Our dual BB aluminum idler pulley solves this problem with a simple and low-cost design.
